Old Town comes alive with the best music in jazz as part of this annual festival
Historic Old Town is proud to work with the Outpost Performance Space for the 2014 New Mexico Jazz Festival!
1 p.m. - Wagogo - An Albuquerque favorite, Wagogo features a unique rhythmic cocktail of Chicano influences, Northern Mexico folk songs, calypso island grooves, and the spirit music of Zimbabwe.
2 p.m. - Cedric Watson & Bijou Creole - One of the brightest young talents to emerge in Cajun, Creole and Zydeco (Louisiana French) music over the last decade, four-time Grammy-nominated fiddler, singer, accordionist & songwriter, Cedric Watson plays everything from forgotten Creole melodies and obscure Dennis McGee reels to more modern Cajun and Zydeco songs, as well as bluegrass fiddle and old string band tunes. Joining him is Desiree Champagne, frottoir, triangle; Kyle Gambino, saxophone; Ian Guidroz, bass; and Aaron Boudreaux, drums.
