Description

The event, sponsored by the Kirtland Chapter of the Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA), is free and family-friendly. 

The ceremony guests include Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, Mayor Tim Keller, Colonel David Miller, the new 377th Air Base Wing Commander and Chaplain Ann Montoya of the Albuquerque Police Department. 

Festivities begin with a musical prelude by the Dukes of Albuquerque – an American Legion Band.  Team Kirtland Honor Guard and a New Mexico Veterans Color Guard will post the flags.  Team Kirtland Airmen will conduct the Parade of State flags with assistance by cadets of the local Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC). Command Sergeant Major Jerry Garcia of the New Mexico National Guard will give the Veterans Day Address. Air Force Senior Airman Alvina Gorash of the 377th Aerospace Medical Squadron will be the Master of Ceremonies.
