Tingley Beach South Pond is designated as a Quality Water of the State of New Mexico.

- Trout fishing in the Children's and Central Ponds has been slow. Fewer trout are being stocked in preparation for catfish stocking this summer. Anglers using salmon eggs report the best results.
- Trout fishing in the South/Catch and Release Pond has been slow, but there has been success using small midge patterns.
- Catfish will be stocked in the Central and Children's Ponds in time for Memorial Day weekend.
