Wagogo.

June 11, 2013

Grab your picnic baskets and lawn chairs and enjoy live music at the BioPark this Thursday and Friday. Summer Nights favorite Wagogo starts the concert season at the Botanic Garden on June 13. Del Castillo blends Latin, rock and blues at Zoo Music on June 14. Gates open at 6 p.m.

Wagogo, a returning local favorite, gets the audience to their feet as fans dance and sing along. Wagogo's world beats are influenced by Northern Mexico folk songs, warm calypso island grooves, Chicano music and rhythms of Zimbabwe.

"People of all ages love Wagogo. They always bring new sounds and lots of energy to Summer Nights," said Maryann Torrez, Special Events Manager.

Summer Nights concerts start at 7 p.m. Guests can also enjoy Garden exhibits until 8 p.m., the Aquarium until 9 p.m. and The Ritzy Rouge Hula Hoop Troupe from 6-8 p.m. Summer Nights is sponsored by 104.7 Albuquerque's Classic Country, Big-I 107.9 New Mexico's Country and Best Western Rio Grande Inn.
