ABQ BioPark Looking for Docent Volunteers.
07/13/2017 - The ABQ BioPark is looking for docents to help with education programs at the Zoo, Aquarium and Botanic Garden.

A docent volunteer orientation will take place from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on August 3 in the ABQ BioPark Zoo Colores Building.

Volunteer orientations are by invitation only. If you are interested in becoming a BioPark Volunteer, please complete an online application by July 21, 2017.

"Education volunteers are essential to our mission and conservation education goals at the ABQ BioPark," said Cheri Vogel, ABQ BioPark curator of education. "They are the heart of our organization."

Plus, it's fun.

"Volunteers not only get to explore and develop their interests, they also get to learn new skills, meet like-minded people, and have fun while helping us work as a team to achieve our conservation goals," Vogel said.

Benefits vary with positions, but generally include free admission to all BioPark facilities (the Zoo, Aquarium and Botanic Garden) during regular daytime hours and discounts at the food and gift concessions.
