Calling all Nature Loving Teens

Teen volunteer training next weekend at ABQ BioPark.

February 9, 2018 - Albuquerque teens have a fun alternative to sitting around the house - volunteering at the ABQ BioPark.

Nature Guide training for teens will be from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Feb. 17, 2018, in the ABQ BioPark Aquarium and Botanic Garden Education Building.

"Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn about the natural environment and spend time making a difference," said Deborah Zavala, ABQ BioPark volunteer specialist.

The BioPark is looking for nature guides (must be at least 14 years oldup to 18).

No admission fee is required, but participants must fill out an application prior to attending the orientation event. More information about positions and a link to the applications can be found here:

This training is for teens only, but attendees can bring a parent. Adults wishing to become a volunteer can attend one of the adult new volunteer orientations, which can be found at
