BioPark Celebrates Earth Day on April 26
April 15, 2014
The ABQ BioPark will celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Guests who bike to the BioPark can enjoy an additional $2 off any regular admission and a complimentary bicycle valet service from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
This year’s event--Celebrate the World!--will highlight dozens of species across the globe and connect to simple local actions that can help conserve the animals, plants and their habitats. Activities, demonstrations and specialists will be stationed throughout the Zoo, Botanic Garden and Aquarium.
“We hope our ‘Bike to the BioPark’ discount will encourage people to get active in conservation before they even arrive,” said Kathryn Venzor, BioPark Education Curator. “Our actions matter, and it’s those everyday decisions to conserve that have a real global impact.”
ABQ Ride volunteers will provide the bike valet service and share information about their Clear the Air Challenge.
