ABQ BioPark Spring Features

Special spring-themed tours and blooms are featured this April at the Botanic Garden.

April 5, 2018 - Spring is in bloom at the ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden.

The garden is kicking off the new season from April 7-30 at the Mediterranean Conservatory with the Spring Pastel Flower Show. Visitors can sneak a peek at pastel multi-colored hydrangeas and pink jasmine during the event.
Outdoor gardens are also popping with spring color. Red and yellow tulips line the walkways, while redbuds and apple trees bloom overhead.
The ABQ BioPark is also continuing Hanami tours in the Japanese Garden throughout the month of April. Tours take place at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on April 11, 18 and 25.
Customarily held in celebration of the birth of the Buddha, the Japanese flower festival Hana Matsuri marks the beginning of the flower blossom season (Hanami). Join the BioPark for special tours to learn more about this traditional event and to view the spectacular blooming cherry trees, flowering quinces, and other plants in the garden.

Hanami tours and the flower show are included with regular admission.
