Enjoy millions of twinkling lights and hundreds of dazzling displays at the ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden during River of Lights from Nov. 24 through Dec. 30 (closed Dec. 24 & 25). The glow starts at 6 p.m. each night and free park & ride is available on select evenings. Explore New Mexico's largest walk-through light show, make holiday nature crafts, enjoy live music and more during this amazing holiday celebration!
The displays feature old favorites like the animated T-Rex and hummingbirds and recent additions like the all-LED humpback whale and other ocean luminaries. New displays include a "flowing" fountain sculpture in the Spanish-Moorish Garden, a snow family, colorful crayons and a disappearing Cheshire cat.
"We are really encouraging guests to use our free park-and-ride shuttles," said Judi Civerolo, Special Events Director for the New Mexico BioPark Society. "You can avoid the traffic by parking at the Zoo or Tingley Beach and taking a quick bus or train ride. We even have lights along Tingley for riders to enjoy en route!"
Tickets are $10 for adults (13+) and $5 for children (3-12). There are no senior or member discounts for this special fundraiser. Purchase tickets online or at the gate from 5:30 p.m. Group discounts are available from the New Mexico BioPark Society by calling 505-764-6212.
The lights go out at 9 p.m. each night from Nov. 24-Dec. 13. The show glows until 10 p.m. Dec. 14-30 (closed Dec. 24 & 25).
River of Lights is sponsored by the New Mexico BioPark Society, KOB-TV Channel 4, 99.5 Magic FM and 92.3 FM KRST. For more information, please email email@example.com or dial 311 locally (505-768-2000).
