Come to the final Summer Nights concert with folk/eclectic group Joy Kills Sorrow playing at the Botanic Garden on Aug. 23. You don't want to miss this great modern American string band as they close the summer concert season.

The Boston-based band favors an unpredictable approach, relying on musical chemistry and improvisation, rather than churning out a static performance. Having proven themselves on the bluegrass music circuit, Joy Kills Sorrow have added their own eclectic variation to their music. Lead singer Emma Beaton's haunting vocals and the ensemble's rootsy variation on Americana is apt to appeal to many.

"These musicians give stunning live performances," said Maryann Torrez, BioPark Events Manager. "The sincerity and creativity in their work shines brightest as they play for audiences."

Gates open at 6 p.m. and the concert starts at 7 p.m. Summer Nights guests can tour the Garden until 8 p.m. and the Aquarium until 9 p.m. Summer Nights is sponsored by Channel 95.1 All the Hits, 104.7 Albuquerque's Classic Country and Best Western Rio Grande Inn.

Thank you to everyone who has joined us for a wonderful summer of music at the ABQ BioPark!
