This weekend the ABQ BioPark and Albuquerque African Violet Club present African Violets to Love. Enjoy the best blooms from club members' collections at the flower show on August 24 and 25. African Violets to Love is open from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. at the Botanic Garden's Heritage Farmhouse.

"African violets are wonderful houseplants--perfect for adding a special touch to any office or home," said Catherine Hubbard, Botanic Garden Manager. "They bloom almost continuously and can be found in a wide variety of colors from vibrant purple to soft pinks to brilliant whites."

African Violets to Love includes displays and presentations of flowers grown by the Albuquerque African Violet Club. Club members share techniques for growing, watering, repotting and propagating these beautiful blooms. In addition to demonstrations, guests can purchase standard and mini African violets.

Join the club and fall in love with African violets at the Botanic Garden this weekend. Admire the beauty and discover the secrets of these enchanting flowers. African Violets to Love is included with regular admission. For more information, email [email protected] or dial 311 locally (505-768-2000).
