Celebrate public gardens and learn how our staff and partners promote education, stewardship, and plant and water conservation at the ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden!

  • Ask a BioPark gardener your gardening questions.
  • Explore “scentsational” plants.
  • Gardening demonstrations.

Our community partners include the Albuquerque Bernalillo Water Utility Authority, ABQ Beeks!, Albuquerque Rose Society, Institute for Applied Ecology, Native Plant Society of New Mexico, New Mexico Sate Forestry, U.S. Forest Service, and the New Mexico Chapter of American Society of Landscape Architects.

About National Public Gardens Day

National Public Gardens Day was established by the non-profit American Public Gardens Association in 2009. It is recognized by several state and city governments, the United States Congress and public garden facilities like the ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden as a way to highlight programs such as plant and water conservation, the preservation of green spaces and home gardening
