Apples cider, corn and grapes- the bounty of harvest at the ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden

You don't need to leave town to visit a farm this weekend! Come to the Botanic Garden's Heritage Farm for the ninth annual Cider Festival.

Find out how apple cider is made and sample fresh cider pressed on-site. Both cider and apples are for sale during the event, so you can enjoy the sweet flavor of autumn at home.


10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily

  • Activities and hands-on discovery stations including crafts, wagon rides, cooking demonstrations, quilting and more at the Botanic Garden’s Heritage Farm exhibit.
  • Cider press demonstrations and sales (apple cider, grape juice, and mums; while supplies last) in the Cider Barn at the Heritage Farm.

Cider and Juice for Sale

Purchase fresh-pressed apple cider and grape juice during this festival. The cider is not pasteurized and there are no preservatives.

Apples for Sale

Purchase whole apples during the Cider Festival.

  • Small bag (7lbs): $4
  • Large bag (14lbs): $7

Purchase your bag and fill it with any of the available varieties of Golden Delicious, Red Rome, Idared, and Macintosh.

Cider and Juice Prices:

  • Apple Cider: $6 per gallon/ $4 per half gallon. Buy 4 gallons, get the fifth free!
  • Grape Juice: $5 per half gallon.


Enjoy old-time bluegrass music by two local bands on both days from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

  • Saturday – Fiasco Bros: Since the 1970's, the Fiasco Brothers have been getting together in Albuquerque to share their love of bluegrass and traditional music.
