Celebrate the fall harvest at the Rio Grande Heritage Farm.
Each October, the Rio Grande Heritage Farm welcomes the harvest season with the two-day Cider Festival.
Fresh apple cider is pressed in the Cider Barn and available for sampling and sales. The apples are grown just a few hundred feet away in the Farm's orchards. Docents and volunteers demonstrate old-fashioned arts and crafts, cooking and farming activities. Old-time music and games add to the fun.
The Cider Festival is a fun opportunity to learn more about food, agriculture and the history of farming along the Rio Grande.
