Sun., March 2 @ 12 p.m. - Vertical Gardening Techniques

Looking for something to do with all that vertical space in your yard or patio at home? Learn about wall gardens with BioPark Horticulturalist Carol McClenin.  This demonstration will take place in the Education Courtyard.

Sat., March 29 @ 12 p.m. - Agaves and Yuccas for Albuquerque

Learn more about these stunning and water wise native plants with the Botanic Garden’s Curator of Desert Collections, Dave Ferguson.  Talk will be held in the Education Building, then stick around for a walk through to see some of the specimens in the Garden collection.

Sat., April 12 @ 12 p.m. - Raised Path, Sunken bed: The Sponge Garden Method for Building Soil in Your Veggie Beds

Learn about experimental methods of organic vegetable gardening developed in Albuquerque, which focus on building soil and saving water. Talk hosted by Tingley Beach Curator and BioPark Arborist, Amos Arber. Talk held in the Education Building.

Sat., April 19@ 12 p.m. - Planting for Pollinators: Native Bees in your Backyard

Learn some simple tips for bringing beautiful flowers and other features into your garden that support pollinator populations.  Discover how easy it can be to help beleaguered pollinators with the BioPark’s Curator of Invertebrates, Ralph Charlton. Talk held in the Education Building.
