It's a leap year, which means an extra day this February. The ABQ BioPark is celebrating this "free" day with a free day of its own.

On Monday, Feb. 29, children ages 3 to 12 get in free to the Zoo, Aquarium and Botanic Garden. Up to four children may get in free with a paying adult. Children under 3 always get in without charge.

"February 29 only comes along every four years - it's a bit like getting a 'free' day, so we wanted to offer a special free day for kids at the BioPark," said Rick Janser, ABQ BioPark director.

In addition to the leap-year entry fee special, the BioPark also has four half-price weekends each year. The next half-price weekend is April 16-17, 2016.
