Stories, songs, movement and crafts for our youngest explorers. Two sessions every Wednesday.

Young visitors to the Balloon Museum will enjoy stories, music, and movement during Stories in the Sky. Each week offers new excitement and learning.

Laurie Magovern, Curator of Education, is a storyteller and teacher and brings stories to life with an inviting and enchanting program.

Join the hundreds of children and adults who participate in each year. Enjoy aerial stories and explore the Balloon Museum a new perspective. Bring your lunch and eat in one of our designated eating areas.


Preschools and Mom's and Dad's groups are welcome! When bringing a group, let us know in advance by calling (505) 768-6020 or email [email protected].

Inclement Weather

Stories in the Sky will follow Albuquerque Public Schools weather designations.

If school is cancelled, Stories in the Sky will be cancelled. If APS has a two hour delay, Stories in the Sky will only present the 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. session.
