Learn about New Mexico’s role in America’s War for Independence. 

  • 1 p.m. Guitar performance by Dan Dowling
  • 1 - 2:30 p.m. Create art in the Museum School related to the exhibition
  • 2:30 p.m. Lecture by author and historian Dr. Thomas E. Chávez

Free general Museum admission from 1 - 5 p.m.

General Admission during the opening is free.
$5 additional special exhibit surcharge for "Visions of the Hispanic World" applies during free days and events at Albuquerque Museum.

Dr. Thomas E. Chávez is an independent researcher, consultant, and historian with a PhD from the University of New Mexico. He has published numerous book reviews, articles, nine books, and wrote a monthly Sunday article for The Santa Fe New Mexican.
