Description
Celebrate the new exhibition, Courage and Compassion: Our Shared Story of the Japanese American World War II Experience, with Taiko drumming followed by a short multimedia presentation, Confinement in the Land of Enchantment, featuring oral histories from Japanese Americans incarcerated in camps during World War II. The presentation is provided by the JACL players, who are all members of the local chapter of the Japanese American Citizens’ League.
Following the presentation, Dr. Mitch Maki, Executive Director of the Go For Broke National Educational Center speaks about courage and compassion shown to Japanese Americans during World War II.
