Islamic art in Spain reached its height during the medieval period under Muslim rule but its influence on the region continued for centuries. María Judith Feliciano will explore this fascinating period and discuss the lasting impact of Islamic arts on museums and collecting.

Feliciano is an independent scholar based in New York City who specializes in the visual culture of the late medieval and early modern Iberian worlds with a focus on the influence of the arts of Islam in the artistic developments of Peninsular and Viceregal societies.
