The journey west was perilous and exciting. Many men have written of the experience. But the diaries and letters of the women who made the trip tell a different aspect of the story: How they cared for the sick; how they fed their families; how they decided what to take and what to leave home; and much, much more. Join us for this lecture and hear what happened behind the scenes on the trail west.
