3rd Thursday: Women, Art and Creativity
Listen to Santa Fe’s Madi Sato, an award-winning singer and songwriter, poet, actor, sound healer and teacher. Sato performs both traditional Japanese music and jazz. In the lobby, learn to make Art Deco-inspired jewelry from Ophelia Adelai Cornet. Join short talks in the gallery exploring images of women in the exhibition "Deco Japan: Shaping Art and Culture, 1920-1945." Stop in the Museum's Gallery Store to visit with local paper artist Kathleen Schweitzer, and learn how to make your own origami. This event is in conjunction with Women & Creativity 2013.
