Slow Down, Albuquerque! is a ground-breaking music & art experience. Museum attendees will be invited into the exhibition of Perceptions of the Western Landscape. There they will encounter the quiet, mesmerizing music of Morton Feldman ("Rothko Chapel") and John Tavener ("Funeral Canticle" which was used in the film "Tree of Life"). Strings, celeste, and a chorus of 24 voices! The audience will be invited to focus on the art and the music - to slow down - while walking through the exhibit. Or they might choose to sit on the floor! Very limited chair seating will be available. The Museum's musical partner, Chatter, will present this idea of calming down, taking the time to turn off devices and gadgets, to engage the senses. To Slow Down.
