School tours of the Albuquerque Museum are special
Get the most out of your tour with these guides:
Cancellation
If you need to cancel or have a bus problem, please contact the Museum as soon as possible.
Whenever possible, we appreciate cancellation notices at least 72 hours in advance.
How to Schedule a Tour
Once you have a tour and time in mind, contact the Museum's education assistant.
Be prepared to provide the name of your school, the grade level, number of students, a contact name and number, and your preferred tour and time.
Pick a Time
School tours are offered Tuesday through Friday beginning promptly on the hour between 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
We recommend booking as early as possible due to the high demand.
Magic Bus
For teachers awarded a Magic Bus: These two-hour tours are given only on Tuesdays or Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon or noon to 2 p.m.
Tour Duration
Tours are about 50 minutes long (with the exception of Magic Bus Tours) and are limited to a maximum of 60 students per hour.
Adult Supervision
There must be a ratio of one adult (teacher or chaperone) per eight to 12 students, depending on age.
Once at the museum, classes will be divided into groups of approximately 10 students to provide a better learning experience.
Please provide ample adult supervision.
