Description

Join us for the Salsa Fiesta, a showcase of Cuban-influenced music and New Mexican dipping salsa.

Spanish Harlem Orchestra

Headlining the 2011 Salsa Fiesta is the Spanish Harlem Orchestra, an upbeat and brassy Latin ensemble.

Spanish Harlem Orchestra is scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. at Tiguex Park.

Salsa Competition

Entrants in the highly competitive Homemade Salsa Contest will entice visitors to vote for their special secret salsa recipes. Those who wish to taste and vote for the homemade salsas will purchase wristbands that feature a detachable ticket to cast their vote.

Winners of the competition receive more than votes and accolades, prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place are $1000, $500 and $250—real incentives to bring their best.

There is no cost to attend the event, which includes music, dance and other entertainment.
There is a $4 fee to taste salsas in the Salsa Competition and vote for your favorite.
