Join the party Saturday, June 16, on Route 66 in Downtown Albuquerque. Noon to 9:30 p.m.
Explore the cultural history of New Mexico's statehood through arts, dance, music, cuisine, science, technology and the exciting atmosphere of old Route 66.
New Mexico Centennial Summerfest will depict many of the important aspects of our state's history – and our future. In one day, experience a taste of New Mexico's past and what lies ahead.
Centennial Summerfest will take place on West Central between 2nd Street and 10th Street.

Hispanic Heritage Pavilion
Located at 3rd and Central:
The sights, sounds and aromas of New Mexico’s significant Hispanic history will be celebrated in music, dance, cuisine and craft. Al Hurricane and Al Hurricane, Jr., Kalpulli Ehecatl, Mariachi San Jose and Baila! Baila! will perform. The Matachines de Bernalillo will bring an ancient tradition to the stage (No photos please.). New Mexican singer Robert “Gonzalo” Gonzalez and the Yjastros, the American Flamenco Repertory Company will dazzle the crowd.

World Pavilion
Located at 4th and Central:
The diversity of New Mexico’s people, cuisine and cultures will be celebrated through the carnivale beat and dance of Frank Leto and PANdemonium, step dancing from the Coleman Academy of Irish Dance, tunes from Wagogo, Le Chat Lunatique and a touch of the classical from Southwest Opera. Japanese Taiko Drumming and the Cuban-influenced sounds of Son Como Son will also be featured.

Native American
Located at 5th and Central
An eclectic collection of Native American sights, sounds and flavors will draw you to the Native American Pavilion, with Navajo Nation storyteller Onawa Lacy, the Gathering of Nations Tribal Dancers and comedy duo James and Ernie. Music is provided by Northern Cheyenne Shelley Morningsong, Native Roots, Grammy® Award-winning Black Eagle Singers, Levi Platero and the Plateros, and Pueblo Country. Wonderful food and crafts will never be more than a drum beat away.

Step back in time to when Route 66 was “The Mother Road.” Adjacent to a classic car show, enjoy The Fireballs, New Mexico’s first Rock ‘n Roll recording band with the #1 hit, “Sugar Shack.” Joining them will be Soul Kitchen, The Hubcaps, Daddy Os, and Cowboys and Indian. Carnival confections and food inspired by TV-dinners of the past will be found at this pavilion.

OAAA Juneteenth

Join the celebration at the Juneteenth Pavilion.. Sponsored by the New Mexico Office of African American Affairs, the stage will host music by Of the Essence, cover band Sweet Life and local songstress Cathy McGill. Enjoy great food from Powdrell’s BBQ while visiting booths featuring local African-American craft merchants.

Popular resort entertainer Roy Rogers, Jr. will bring the Old West alive at the Territorial Village. This pavilion, in the shade of Robinson Park, will feature Matanza-style and western-style cookery, along with displays from El Rancho de las Golondrinas living history museum. Be entertained with musical performances by Will Banister, Bill and Bonnie Hearne, the NM Territorial Brass Band, Syd Masters, the High Desert Dancers, gunfighters and much more!

Storytelling Tent

Join the conversations at the New Mexico Storytelling tent. Cowboy poetry and reenactments of Billy the Kid, Old Bill Williams and more will bring our state’s history alive. Also Chatauquas provided by the New Mexico Humanities Council

100 for 100 Art Market
Showcasing 100 artists from the statewide network of Arts and Cultural Districts, this traditional and contemporary art market is a highlight of Centennial Summerfest. Enjoy the amazing talents and diversity of artisans from our state, and buy something to take home, if you so desire.
Youthfest
Younger kids can re-energize by enjoying jumpers and fun activities in their own special area. Youths can experience exciting BMX demonstrations, age-appropriate dance, art, poetry and acoustic musical performances, among many other activities.
KiMo Theatre
Take your family to the historic KiMo Theatre to cool off and enjoy free cartoon movies all day. Also, come by at 7 p.m. for a free performance by the SouthWest Rural Theatre Project of “Travelin’ Show,” an exciting musical about New Mexico’s past.
Cuisine! Food! Snacks!
Follow your nose as you stroll along the Central Avenue Centennial Summerfest route. Tickle your palate at dozens of food vans and a food-lover’s variety of New Mexican-themed food booths.
Main Stage
And that's just the beginning! Starting at 5:30 the Hispanic Heritage Stage becomes the Centennial Main Stage. Clovis-native Country music artist Will Banister, Taos Pueblo performer Robert Mirabal and Centennial Summerfest headliner Los Lobos are the evening’s featured performers.

Getting There:
The use of public transportation to and from this event is highly recommended. ABQ Ride and the Rail Runner are two of the best options for your commute.
ABQ Ride will be offering a Park and Ride to make your commute easier. The Westside pickup will be in the K-Mart Parking lot at Central and Atrisco. On the Eastside, catch the bus at the UNM Football Field East Parking Area. This service will run from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm.
NM Rail Runner Express has a special schedule just for Centennial Summerfest.
If you do drive to the event, there will be plenty of parking downtown. For just $6, park at any of the City owned lots downtown. There are over 3000 spaces combined at the structures at 1st and Gold, 5th and Copper, The Acropolis at 3rd and Copper, underneath Harry E. Kinney Civic Plaza (accessible from Marquette or Tijeras), and the Albuquerque Convention Center. There are also private paid parking lots scattered throughout the Downtown Core, fees vary.
