Wednesdays -- Live Music and History Honoring the Elders

Come to Old Town to enjoy live music and performances by renowned local artists! Learn about Albuquerque's history from historical re-enactments, known as "Chataqua."Visit Old Town's many unique shops and take advantage of discounts on performance nights!

Join us in continuing to honor our elders, who have made a difference in the Old Town area.

 

Thursdays -- Showcase of Albuquerque’s Diverse Cultures

When: Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m. (unless otherwise noted)

Thursday evening programs entertain with “Folk Festival Presents” programs of folk music by area artists. The Folk Festival programs will alternate with performances by the National Institute of Flamenco. And now, “Cultural Sunsets Celebrating the New Mexico Culture” programs have been added to the Thursday evening fare.

Fridays -- Live Latin Music and Dancing

Learn the steps to popular Salsa dances, then try out your moves during the live Salsa concerts!


Friday evening programs entertain with hot Latin sounds from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Gazebo, and mariachi group Los Primos roaming throughout Old Town. Programs will be scheduled for most Fridays; more detailed information on dates and performers will be updated when available.

 

 

Saturdays -- Live Poetry, Music and Workshops

When: Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (unless otherwise noted)

Where: Various Plazas through Old Town Albuquerque (Map Leaving www.cabq.gov, click for disclaimer)

You never know what will happen in Old Town! On any given Saturday, you have the chance to hear music, listen to poetry, hear story telling, or enjoy Folklorico or Flamenco dancing.

 

Sundays -- Theatrical & Patio Performances

When: Sundays from 6 to 9 p.m. (unless otherwise noted)

As you stroll through Old Town be on the lookout for gun-toting, Old West cowboys who seem to always get in a fight. Real guns are used with blank ammunition; for your own safety stay back and watch the fun.

Sunday evenings you may also encounter dancers in the close embrace of the Tango, one of the most dramatic and fascinating of all dances.
