Charter Review Task Force
The Albuquerque City Council passed an Ordinance (O-08-42) to have the City Charter reviewed by a Task Force. This Task Force will review the City of Albuquerque Charter and make recommendations for proposed revisions to the Council and Mayor.

The Task Force had its first meeting August 28, 2008. Agendas and summary minutes from each Task Force meeting are available. Please note that summary minutes must be approved and will be made available at that time.
On September 18, 2008 a Work Plan was approved by the Task Force to assist in the review of the Charter.

* Public comment will be taken at these meetings and televised live on Gov16.
The Task Force must submit a final report to the Mayor and City Council by April 6, 2009. The report will make recommendations, if needed, for City Charter amendments.

The Task Force is made of 15 members who are all residents of the City of Albuquerque:
- One member selected by each Councilor
- Five members appointed by the Mayor
- Chair of the Task Force selected by the Council.
