Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Multicultural Council Scholarship
It is time again to encourage high school seniors to apply for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Multicultural Council Scholarship
The scholarships are $1,000 each for high school seniors that are planning on entering college in 2016.
Step 1. Download the Form
The form to apply can be downloaded from the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Multicultural Council’s website. Please feel free to make copies and provide them to interested parties.
Step 2. Write an Essay and Send by US Mail
Students are responsible for writing an essay. This essay is based on the images that are on the application forms. In the essay the students should articulate their understanding of civil rights, diversity and community, along with describing how Dr. King’s messages continue to have a powerful influence on society as well as their individual lives.

When the students have completed and sent their application by US mail, please send an e-mail to notify President Alfred Mathewson that it has been sent: firstname.lastname@example.org
The students will be notified by email regarding their application status.
The Submission Deadline Date is Sept. 9, 2015.
Those selected this year (October 2015) as scholarship recipients will be honored on Jan. 18, 2016, during the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Multicultural Council’s 26th Annual Celebration.
