Roller Skate City is More Than Just a Roller Rink

Councilor Don Harris is pleased to announce to Albuquerque's roller-skating fans that Roller Skate City will open November 6th, 2009. Roller Skate City will be taking over where Roller King left off and with a completely renovated building. New fixtures at the recently renovated roller rink include a brand new skating surface, state of the art sound system and light show, video game arcade, and a skating retail shop. Other cosmetic improvements include new wall carpet, fluorescent black light floor carpet, ceramic tile, completely updated bathrooms and beautiful new custom rental skates.

Roller Skate City is sure to provide wholesome and healthy fun for the entire family.

Roller Skate City will also feature and participate in SIHA, a club and recreational inline hockey league for a variety of age groups. All first time youth players will receive a free pair of inline hockey skates when joining the league through Roller Skate City.

Every birthday patron that schedules their party at Roller Skate City will receive their own pair of roller skates as a gift from the rink. Roller Skate City manufactures their own private label skates and has already given away over thirty one thousand pair of birthday skates in three years through other locations.

Part of the Roller Skate City facilities includes an Inline Hockey TOUR arena that is located in Colorado Springs. The TOUR arena is a state-of-the-art inline hockey complex dedicated for the exclusive use of Roller Skate City inline hockey program participants.

Upon opening, the Albuquerque Roller Skate City will be the latest addition to the Skate City organization, which has roller rinks in Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska.

With over 30 years of experience, Roller Skate City will go above and beyond being a just a roller rink. Roller Skate City will be actively involved in the community through partnering with schools for fundraising events. Fundraising opportunities for schools and other non-profit organizations include events such as skate parties, summer club membership cards, inline roller hockey incentives and so much more!

Head on down to the GRAND OPENING of Roller Skate City on November 6, 2009 and see for yourself what the buzz is about! The cost is just $4.50 to skate, and an additional $2 for skate rental.
