Councilor Arnold-Jones is assigned to the Land Use, Planning and Zoning Committee (LUPZ), Regional Transit Board, Metropolitan Transit Board and the Winrock TIDD Committee.

Ms. Arnold-Jones was elected and served as the Representative to the New Mexico House of Representatives, House District 24 from 2003 – 2011. In 2010, she served as the initial Chair of the City of Albuquerque Redistricting Committee.

During her term as House Representative, Ms. Arnold-Jones served on the following committees:

Councilor Arnold-Jones was recognized in 2010 for transparency in government with the William S. Dixon First Amendment Freedom Award by The New Mexico Foundation for Open Government and she was also awarded the Lights of Liberty Award by the Rio Grande Foundation. She has worked to improve government by bridging the public’s access to it.

Before seeking elected office, Ms. Arnold-Jones was a board member of the Sandia High School Area neighborhood association and the District 7 Coalition as well as the AYSO Chief Coach for Region 104. She was employed by Energy Solutions (formerly Parallax) for 12 years supporting Sandia National Laboratories.

She is an alumnus of Albuquerque High School (Broadway & Central) and the University of New Mexico.

Councilor Arnold-Jones is married to John L. Jones, USN (retired).  They have two children, Robert and Mary.
