Hahn Arroyo Rehabilitation Project
The Hahn Arroyo Rehabilitation Project involves the removal and reconstruction of a section of the Hahn Arroyo, from Comanche to California. This arroyo was concrete-lined in the 1960s and has reached the end of its useful life, resulting in numerous expensive repairs.
The rehabilitation of the arroyo will improve water quality, provide recreational opportunities, and use water harvesting techniques to irrigate the landscaping. Public art will also be a component of the project.
This project will encompass approximately $3.5 million. Several funding agencies are participating: AMAFCA, City of Albuquerque DMD, Parks and Recreation and Councilor Michael D. Cook
For more pictures and information about the project, visit the project website at Hahn Arroyo Project, or call Kurt Wagener, 884-2215.
