Councilor O’Malley is excited many parks in District 2 are getting face lifts.
Among the parks in District 2 that have seen improvements:
- Coronado Park - Now open - New skate park
- Valley Pool Park - New playground equipment installed November of 06’ and perimeter access control (pipe railing) to be installed this summer.
- Los Duranes - (In construction) New playground equipment, shade structure and lights.
- Graves Park - (In construction) Adding basketball half court, climbing structure, full walking path, shade structure, and planting more tress.
- Villela Park - The last wood playground structure in the City to be replaced by a unique and fun structure to be installed mid May.
- Vista Del Norte - Bernardo Trails Park (small park) to be completed this summer. Paseo de Estrella (big park) will begin construction mid May and finish last summer.
- Lafayette Park - Phase two playground area and shade structure to be installed late this summer.
- Matthew Meadows Park - waiting for construction date to commence phase two of the large playground area.
