Welcome to the Soul of the City -- District 2!
District 2 has most of the city's museums, parks (including the zoo), the best food (just our opinion!), theater, art, galleries/studios, bike routes along the river and in general all the "cool" things to do in the city. Our borders are approximately just north of Montano Blvd., University Blvd to the East, Rio Bravo to the South and the Rio Grande River to the West (go to http://www.cabq.gov/council/council-district-map for a specific map).
Albuquerque is my home, and District 2 is where I have always chosen to live and work. I truly believe that Albuquerque has all the ingredients for success . . . blue skies, incredible natural beauty, great outdoor activities, rich culture, unique and distinctive food and arts and some of the brightest minds in the world.
District 2 is the soul of the city and has so many gems to celebrate!
So what would it take to be a World-Class City? A leader who has the determination and skill set to make it happen. I look forward to the positive changes I can make as a team with Mayor Berry and the other City Council members to alter the physical and economic landscape of the city.
