We're All Virginia Tech

Last night, Mayor Chavez led a vigil for the tragedy at Virginia Tech. Together with hundreds of students from University of New Mexico and other Albuquerque residents, the Mayor reached out to the victims of violence.

"We are all Virginia Tech." he said. "This could have happened anywhere."

Mourners lit candles at dusk and gathered in silence. It was a poignant moment at Harry Kinney Civic Plaza in solidarity with our fellow Americans.

Here are more photos from the event.
