Enjoy the warm weather this spring by fishing at Tingley Beach.
- Trout fishing in the Tingley Beach Children's and Central Ponds has been hit or miss. Anglers using baits about 18 inches off the bottom are reporting the best results.
- Fly fishing anglers in the South/Catch and Release Pond are reporting mixed results. Best catch rates are reported when using wet flies - dark leeches and small midges are working particularly well. However the fish have been in the pond since October and are pretty smart to anglers' strategies. Bring a lot of flies and be ready to change frequently until you find what the fish are biting.
- Look forward to 5000 rainbow trout stocked in the Central Pond in time for the Free Fishing Derby on Saturday, April 14, 2012. Derby participation is free but a NM fishing license is required for anglers 12 and older.
