You’ll research and observe animal behavior and learn how to interpret what you see. You’ll find out how zookeepers use special techniques to enrich the lives of zoo animals.
Then, you’ll have the chance to make items to be used in the animal enclosures!Join the fun and watch as the animals enjoy your handiwork.

This camp takes you further into the professional world of the BioPark than ever before. What does it take to care for endangered species like Asian elephants and Silvery Minnows? What kind of plans go into designing a landscape? What other jobs do people do to make the BioPark such a cool place?

Earth Explorers
Become a biologist as we investigate everything that creeps, crawls, swims, flies, and photosynthesizes!
This hands-on camp is for budding scientists and explorers. We’ll take you behind-the-scenes to see the scientific research that goes on right here at the ABQ BioPark, from endangered species protection to insect rearing. We’ll go outdoors to find birds and butterflies in the Bosque and learn the secret languages of flowers.
BioPark biologists will teach you the skills you need to be an expert naturalist, while keeping it fun, fast, and a little wild.
