Nature Guide Volunteers
The BioPark Nature Guide program is open to teens 14 and older. Nature Guides facilitate summer discovery stations at the ABQ BioPark Zoo, Aquarium and Botanic Garden, at these stations Nature Guides teach visitors about the fascinating world of animals and plants, while inspiring a sense of stewardship towards the earth and its inhabitants.
No admission is required - when you arrive at the front gate, simply let the cashier know you are here for the orientation.
No specialized knowledge is necessary to become a volunteer. BioPark staff will teach you everything you need to know in the orientation sessions. We ask that you bring your enthusiasm, a commitment to conservation, a sense of responsibility, and patience. Experienced volunteers and staff are available to assist you after orientation, and monthly volunteer meetings keep you up to date.
