July 8 - 12 (9 am - 4 pm)
Students will work in groups to build a team robot using a VEX clawbot kit and take part in drone demonstrations and learning. Faced with a variety of real-life challenges, students will actively develop their problem-solving skills as they learn to drive and troubleshoot their team robot. Using their robots to conquer the TAKE FLIGHT! challenge, students will learn the importance of mechanics, robot coding, thinking scientifically, teamwork, time management and the power of the Engineering Design Process. In addition, students will learn about the history and the development of Drones as we explore this growing technology. This program is suitable for all levels of experience for students 8 and older.
