Description
Do you have an old computer rotting away in your hall closet? How about that VCR that you haven't used since 1998? Don't throw those old electronics in the garbage, where they might leak nasty chemicals into our groundwater!
Instead, recycle them at Balloon Fiesta Park on August 17 and 18, at an event hosted by the City of Albuquerque in conjunction with Intel Rio Rancho, KOAT Channel 7, and Best Buy.
Electronics recycler Natural Evolution will accept almost all broken or unused electronics and recycle 98% of them into new products that will be donated to local schools throughout Albuquerque!
Why recycle?
Recycling electronics rather than throwing them away protects Albuquerque's environment by preventing dangerous compounds like mercury, lead, and cadmium from leaching into the ground.
