Oso Biopharmaceuticals requests to modify an existing air quality permit in Application #1097-M3

Oso Biopharmaceuticals has submitted an application for a new or modified air quality construction permit to the Air Quality Program (Program) of the City of Albuquerque Environmental Health Department. The application is requesting to construct one new 967 horsepower, Environmental Protection Agency Tier II emission certified, diesel fired internal combustion engine coupled to a 600 kilowatt emergency electrical generator. The application seeks to restrict the unit to 500 hours per year of operation. The purpose of the unit is to provide emergency backup electrical power in the case of the unavoidable loss of commercial power. The application is also requesting to construct one new 3.4 MMBtu/hr natural-gas fired boiler. The boiler will be used for process and comfort heating

Comment on this Application

If a person wishes to receive notification of the availability of the Program’s analysis for their review and comment, they must express that interest in writing to the Program before the end of the public comment period on December 7, 2017. Interested persons may submit written comments and evidence, request a public information hearing, or both on the permit application to the Program. Comments will be accepted and considered if postmarked by the end of the public comment period.
