New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC dba AT&T Mobility requests an air quality permit in Application #3332

New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC dba AT&T Mobility has submitted an application, for a new or modified air quality construction permit, to the Air Quality Program (Program) of the City of Albuquerque  Environmental Health Department. The application was received by the Program on October 20, 2017. The owner of the facility is New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC dba AT&T Mobility, PO Box 5095, Rm 4W200M, San Ramon, CA 94583. The facility, Desert Greens Golf Course Cell Tower, is located at 10035 Country Club Lane NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114. This application file has been assigned Permit Application No. 3332.

The application is to construct a 79 horsepower, EPA Tier III emission certified, diesel fired internal combustion engine coupled to a 50 kW emergency electrical generator. The application seeks to restrict the unit to 500 hours per year of operation. The purpose of the unit is to provide emergency backup electrical power in the case of the unavoidable loss of commercial power.

Comment on this Application

If a person wishes to receive notification of the availability of the Program’s analysis for their review and comment, they must express that interest in writing to the Program before the end of the public comment period on December 10, 2017. Interested persons may submit written comments and evidence, request a public information hearing, or both on the permit application to the Program. Comments will be accepted and considered if postmarked by the end of the public comment period.
