Women Take Flight
Local members of The Ninety-Nines, the international organization of women pilots, will offer free flights (weather permitting) to females who have never flown in a small aircraft. They will be available to discuss careers in aviation, how women can thrive in the world of aviation and how general aviation fits into the transportation system. Flights will open up a world of possibilities.
Although targeting women of at least high school age, The 99's will try to accommodate all girls at least 12 years old. Parental permission will be required for minors.
Register in advance at http://www.womenofaviationweek.org/rsvp/albuquerque. On-site registration available; first-come, first-served.
"Women Take Flight - Girls Too" is sponsored by the Rio Grande Norte and Albuquerque Ninety-Nines, local chapters of The Ninety-Nines, the International Organization of Women Pilots in conjunction with the Institute for Women of Aviation Worldwide.
