The Albuquerque International Sunport will close the east/west runway (Runway 8/26) beginning on Monday September 10th through Friday September 14th for maintenance and repairs. All commercial and most other air traffic will be shifted to the northeast/southwest runway (Runway 3/21) during this period. The closure will enable crews to upgrade infrastructure related to the new LED centerline lights. The use of Runway 3/21 will increase over flights in parts of the city, but specific takeoff and landing patterns are determined by the FAA and will vary based on weather conditions and other factors.
