Volunteers donated and helped sort food for some of Albuquerque's most needy.
Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) volunteer Ron Mansoldo organized a group of 15 volunteers to work for two hours at the Roadrunner Food Bank on Dec. 10, 2013. The volunteers donated 63 pounds of canned goods and sorted 2,394 pounds of fresh produce to provide a more well-rounded, balanced meal to the distributing agencies clientele.
The volunteers also sorted dried and can goods to fulfill the needs of agencies the Food Bank serves. New Mexico ranks second in the nation in food insecurity.
