Special Spaces Albuquerque
Special Spaces is a 505(c)3 non profit organization that creates dream bedrooms for children suffering with life threatening illnesses. Special Spaces evolved on the precedent that children facing this journey need a special space for them to heal, recover and find peace while their medical needs are being addressed.
The main role of the Project Coordinator is to assist the Director, Designer and Volunteer Coordinator in all aspects of a Special Spaces room makeover while adhering to the guidelines of the Policy and Procedure Manual.
Duties include but aren't limited to:
Go with the Director and the Designer to interview the child and family.
Work with the Designer and assist in purchasing items for the child's room if necessary
Verify and document all purchases
Coordinate with the Director, Designer and Volunteer Coordinator to insure that all details are worked out for our makeover days
This is a part time volunteer position. You must be reliable, dependable and provide references. You will be working from your home for the most part and you must have internet access.
We know that you're out there and we're just waiting for you to find us (or for us to find you). We're looking for someone who has the time and passion that we have for these precious and amazing children. You will serve a vital function to our organization thereby impacting the children Special Spaces is devoted to.
