National Museum of Nuclear Science and History

Inspire Students! Informal Museum Educators-As an Education Docent, you’ll present science and history programming in an informal classroom setting to students ages K-12.

As an Education Docent, you will teach 20- and 60-minute programs, actively engage students in activities, share your enthusiasm for science or history, and project yourself as a role model for the students we serve.

We provide hands-on, peer-to-peer training for each class and activity. You will have access to written materials for self-study, and you will work closely with experienced Education Docents and Staff.

We present most of our programming during the months of October, and February through May. Most programming occurs during the weekday mornings (9 am to 1 pm), with occasional afternoon and weekend programs.
