Heartland provides hospice care to wherever our patients call home. As a volunteer, you can provide that extra love and support to our patients and their families during their final stage of life.
Volunteers offer support, companionship, and practical caring help, which can include running errands; sitting with the patient so that family members can take a break; reading to patients; or simply holding their hand. You can donate as much or as little of your time as you desire.
Volunteer types include the friendly visitor, vigil, and bereavement. Musicians, both vocal and instrumental, provide tremendous comfort and are strongly encouraged to join our volunteer team. There is also a need for administrative volunteers to work in the office. After a background check, training is provided.
Must be at least 18 years of age to volunteer.
