Math Specialist, Reading Specialist, Career Counselor.

The following Volunteer Opportunities are available:

  • The math specialist will assist parents staying in our shelter program who need help passing the GED or the Accuplacer for CNM in the area of math. Hours are from 8:30 to 12:30 Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Volunteers do not have to be able to work all of those hours, but do need to commit to a consistent shift.
  • The reading specialist will assist parents who need help passing the GED or the Accuplacer for CNM in the area of reading. Hours are from 8:30 to 12:30 Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Volunteers do not have to be able to work all of those hours, but do need to commit to a consistent shift.
  • The career counselor will assist parents in our shelter program to job search. Volunteers may be helping to write resumes or submit online applications. Volunteers should have strong writing skills. Volunteers may also choose to drive parents to job fairs and to submit paper applications. Hours are from 8:30 to 12:30 Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Volunteers do not have to be able to work all of those hours, but do need to commit to a consistent shift.
