Members of the public, schools, and developers had the chance to win a share of $30,000 for innovative mobile applications. They developed apps using at least one dataset from . Prizes were awarded in the following categories:

- Outdoor Fun & Healthy Living

Apps Competition 2012
Albuquerque's residents, students, and developers made the City's first Apps Competition a great success!
Thirty-two people participated, submitting 16 mobile applications that use ABQ Data sets. Judges awarded a total of $30,000 to the top three entries.

A distinguished panel of judges will choose the winners of the Apps Contest in early Jan. 2013. A total of $30,000 will be shared among the winning developers.
