Competition Basics
Members of the public, schools, and developers had the chance to win a share of $30,000 for innovative mobile applications. They developed apps using at least one dataset from ABQ Data. Prizes were awarded in the following categories:
- Cultural Resources
- Business in Albuquerque
- Outdoor Fun & Healthy Living
Contest Details
The City of Albuquerque encourages innovation and creativity that will enhance public services through the development of better apps.
To spur apps development, the City hosted an Apps Contest based on the datasets available through ABQ Data.
Apps Competition 2012
Albuquerque's residents, students, and developers made the City's first Apps Competition a great success!
Thirty-two people participated, submitting 16 mobile applications that use ABQ Data sets. Judges awarded a total of $30,000 to the top three entries.

Winners
A distinguished panel of judges will choose the winners of the Apps Contest in early Jan. 2013. A total of $30,000 will be shared among the winning developers.
